Av8r Johnny (EE4U for short) is a semi-retired elevator filmer from Longmont, Colorado. He is notable as the founder of YouTube's hand dryer enthusiast community, and as the owner and operator of HandDryers 4U.
History[]
EE4U began filming on April 1st 2016 as ExcelElevators 4U. In early 2018 his username was changed to ExcelElevations 4U, incorporating both elevators and aviation to form the word "elevations". In early 2024 he changed his name to Av8r Johnny to better reflect his aviation passion. He recently celebrated 8 years on YouTube with a video of the 2024 total solar eclipse.
His peak years were 2020-2022 with mainly daily uploads to the channel, mainly from the states of Colorado, Texas, and Wisconsin.
In September 2022, EE4U announced that he would no longer be regularly going on solo filming trips due to the toxicity of the "community". He will still be filming some elevators every now and then, but he has switched to his main YT channel of ExcelWashes 4U filming car wash videos, which has proven to be a lot more successful.
HandDryers 4U[]
In July 2019, EE4U started HandDryers 4U, a channel featuring videos of hand dryers in a manner similar to elevator videos. The first video, of an Xlerator in a Smashburger restaurant in Longmont, CO, was posted on July 8. Shortly thereafter, he began to accept video submissions from other users; these soon constituted the bulk of the channel's content. The channel is still going today, at a decreased rate of uploads due to submission restraints.
