Orisa's Elevatour (real name Orisa Pradito) is a an elevator enthusiast/filmer from Jakarta, Indonesia. He was previously known in YouTube as "oracleorisa".

History

Orisa created his YouTube channel "oracleorisa" on November 25, 2011 and was initially used for uploading local quiz game shows. His first elevator video was a Schindler MRL elevator at Sogo Pondok Indah Mall 2, Jakarta.[1]

On November 9, 2013, he began filming elevators with a Lenovo S890 mobile phone. Able to record videos in higher quality, it replaced his previous BlackBerry mobile phone.

In early 2016, he opened a new YouTube channel with the name Orisa's Elevatours. It was created so that he could upload his new elevators there. Since then, he has stopped uploading new videos on his previous channel, and it appears that he no longer upload videos there.

His channel is currently dormant since December 2018. One of the main reasons is that his internal hard drive, where all of his unreleased videos are stored there, is currently damaged, and these videos are now believed to have corrupted/lost. It is unknown whether he will upload more videos in the future. However, it was reported in November 2020 that Orisa actually still film elevators but does not upload the videos to his YouTube channel; instead he gives them to HAN, another Indonesian elevator enthusiast who would then upload Orisa's videos to his channel.

Camera history

  • BlackBerry (unknown series) mobile phone (2012 to 9 November 2013)
  • Lenovo S890 mobile phone (9 November 2013 to 2014)
  • Lenovo A3300 PC Tablet (2014 to 2015, all videos have lost due to a damaged internal hard disk)
  • Samsung Galaxy GrandPrime SM-G530H/DS (since 30 March 2016)

Criticisms

Since 2015, he has been criticized by many members of the Indonesian Elevator Photographers (IEP) and some other non-elevator photographers for the countless lies, misconceptions and imaginations that he made up since 2010. His lies, misconceptions and imaginations were considered to be very annoying and overrated by most of the IEP members.[2]. In 2020, an Indonesian cosplayer known as Kim Nam Hyung, who also the owner of elevator filming production called Devil Black Soup Guy, shared his lies to a local cosplay community that Hyung joins.

A little bit of controversy within the IEP happened in May 2015, when he announced in IEP that he wanted himself to become the first person to film the elevators at AEON Mall BSD City and "banning" other elevator filmers like Sumosoftinc and other local filmers from succeeding him. This sparked an outrage to some IEP members, with one stating that it was uncalled, "big deal" and totally unnecessary since IEP discourages its members from competiting each others. He never made an apology, however. Eventually, the first person to have successfully filmed the elevators at AEON Mall BSD City was Dayan Arung, a non-IEP member elevator filmer from Jakarta.

Another controversy happened on 12 June 2020, when the death toll of COVID-19 in Indonesia had reached 48 persons. He was proud with the death toll result due to the number was a reference to the female music group JKT48, whom he admires it so much. As a result, some other elevator enthusiast made an fictional disease caused by Orisa's lies and misconceptions, called OSAVID-20 or ODLNGID-20, which is set to be more dangerous than COVID-19. Some elevator enthusiasts also lied (as replying to the lies made by Orisa) that OSAVID-20/ODLNGID-20 is just a COVID-19 disease that has additional symptoms which the patient may become mad even if they're recovered.

A few people have also criticized his poor English skills, as evident by his comments and video descriptions. Despite that he once claimed that he was interested in learning English, his English skills are below average, which is ironic. Not only his English is poor, but apparently his Bahasa Indonesia is also poor too.

Trivia

  • He shares the same birth date with Reza, an Indonesian cosplayer known as Kim Nam Hyung in cosplay community, who also operates elevator filming production currently operating under the name Devil Black Soup Guy.
  • He hates Honda Mobilio, due to the fact that an IEP member has made a picture of a fictional Honda Mobilio with Orisa's head placed on the vehicle's hood called "Honda Odilio" to scare him (thanks to his lies and misconceptions).
