The Skyscraper Simulator Forum (also known as Skyscrapersim Forum or SSF for short) is a forum of the Skyscraper Project which mainly discuss the development of the Skyscraper project and other related stuffs such as building requests, latest software build and custom content. It was also home of the discussion board of LiftSim software, which was moderated by mrmattandmrchay. The current forum is hosted by CreateAForum.com.

The original forum was launched in 2009, but it was shut down unexpectedly in October 2018 for unknown reasons. A new forum was subsequently created by one of the members. At the time the old forum was shut down, it had two administrators (eventhorizon (Ryan Thoryk) and SHADYWOOD79) as well as three global moderators (NewEnglandElevators, Test Tower (EVTT), and June). The old forum used the Simple Machines Forum (SMF) engine.

As of June 2018, there were more than 900 members registered in the old forum. There are more than 150 members registered in the new forum as of May 2019.

History

Skyscraper Simulator Forum was created in March 2009 by Ryan Thoryk (known as "eventhorizon" in the forum), who also developed the Skyscraper Simulator program.

On April 15, 2018, the forum went offline unexpectedly for unknown reasons, with users reported receiving DNS errors while attempting to access the forum. It went online again on April 29 and continued until October 2018 when it was finally pulled out from the internet and all the contents on it were removed. In addition, both the official Skyscraper site and the SourceForge download site were also removed for unknown reasons. Although the software is no longer in development, two new forums have been created; one by a former moderator in December 2018 and another one by YouTuber Trizocbs.
