The Skyscraper Simulator Forum (also known as Skyscrapersim Forum or SSF) is a forum of the Skyscraper Project which mainly discuss the development of the Skyscraper and other related stuff such as building requests, latest software build and custom content. It was also home of the discussion board of LiftSim software, which was moderated by mrmattandmrchay. The forum uses the Simple Machines Forum (SMF) engine.

Currently, there are two administrators in the Skyscraper Simulator Forum; eventhorizon (Ryan Thoryk) and SHADYWOOD79. There are also three global moderators, NewEnglandElevators, Test Tower (EVTT), and June.

As of June 2018, there are more than 900 members registered.

History

Skyscraper Simulator Forum was created in March 2009 by Ryan Thoryk (eventhorizon), who also develops the Skyscraper Simulator program.

In the October, 2018, The site of the program is no longer working and all the contents removed. Although the software is no longer in development, A new forum has been created by a former moderator of the original forum.

Notable events

  • March 2009: Forum was created by Ryan Thoryk using Simple Machines Forum (SMF).
  • September 28, 2012: Chris resigned from his co-administrator position.[1] A few months later, he quit the YouTube Elevator Community.[2] Chris was replaced by gooper1, as selected by Chris prior to his resignment.
  • November 29, 2012: NewEnglandElevators was elected as the second Global Moderator, filling gooper1's position as a result of his upgrade to administrator.[3]
  • April 13, 2013: John resigned from his Global Moderator position.[4]
  • April 29, 2013: Test Tower was elected as Global Moderator, replacing John's position. He is the only Global Moderator outside of the Americas and the only Asian Global Moderator in this forum.[5]
  • October, 2018: This site no longer online.
