Uncommon Elevators is an elevator filmer based in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania and the Washington, DC area. He started his YouTube Channel in 2012. In 2019 he filmed his first elevator video, the US elevators at Park Place office building in Arlington, VA. In early 2022, he uploaded elevator videos to YouTube for the first time. Some of his uploads were from his old camera, while most of them were new videos filmed on his new camera.
Early Interest in Elevators[]
He has been interested in elevators for his whole life. His earliest memories include riding the elevators in the Washington Metro system while in a stroller. In 2010, he discovered elevator videos from Dieselducy, and quickly learned to identify the brands of elevators everywhere he went. His interest in elevators faded for a few years until his late teens. At that time, he discovered videos from Beno, and became interested in trains and urban exploring. While attending a summer program in Crystal City, VA, he would explore the underground malls and pedestrian walkways in the area on his way home. He made a goal of riding and taking photos of every elevator in the Crystal City complex. After seeing many old and rare elevators get modernized in his hometown, he filmed his first elevator video in order to preserve history.
